The one thing every Brevard septic owner should know

By July 2030, most Brevard septic systems must connect to sewer or upgrade.

The county is paying up to $5,000–$20,000 out of pocket before grants; Port St. John estimates ran far higher per home to do it now — and at least $6,000 for every eligible parcel. The money is finite and the deadline is fixed.

What we do

The one thing every Brevard septic owner should know

By July 1, 2030, most septic systems in the county have to either connect to sewer or upgrade to a nitrogen-reducing unit. The county is paying up to $20,000 per home to do it now — and at least $6,000 for every eligible parcel. Find out if your address qualifies →

Why the water table matters here

Brevard sits on sand over a shallow water table that rises sharply from June through October. When it does, drainfields that worked all winter stop taking water. A tank that's overdue for pumping has no buffer at all. That's the pattern behind most of the calls we get — and it's avoidable with a pump-out on schedule and a field that was sized right.
